Is the data center location free from risk? A data center site location should be geographically and environmentally free from natural and man-made disaster threats. i/o Data Centers’ facility is located in Scottsdale, Arizona – a setting known to be free from natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, coastal flooding and tornadoes. Arizona is also a low risk location for man-made disasters like riots, explosions and terrorist attacks due to the lack of ‘mega city’ politics.
Does the data center have a dependable infrastructure? The utilities that power a data center site should provide 100% reliability in service. Because Arizona is a net exporter of power, i/o Data Centers can provide a compelling utility infrastructure to ensure data center security. Two 1.72 Mw and two 2.00 Mw Caterpillar diesel generators are onsite to provide backup power.A fully redundant chilled water plant is located onsite and features Stulz air handlers, welded bi-directional piping and an 8,000 gallon backup water system.
